Experience the beauty of South West France through the lens of Urban Sketching! Immerse yourself in the playful world of mixed media landscapes guided by Sketchbook artist Jenny Adam.
About this course:
This dynamic workshop with Jenny Adam offers a harmonious blend of techniques, allowing you to simplify nature’s complexity while infusing your artwork with texture, colour, and emotion. We will work on location, discovering the landscapes and villages, but also make time for exploring art in the comfort of the atelier.
Mixed media: Watercolour, Acrylic markers, felt tip pens, coloured pencils and wax crayons. Working in a sketchbook or small sheets of paper.
Course Highlights:
● Playful Drawing Techniques: explore a whimsical approach to sketching landscapes using mixed media. From watercolour and acrylic markers to crayons and felt-tip pens, discover the joy of combining diverse materials to evoke the essence of nature. Embrace spontaneity, experimentation, and creative freedom as you simplify greenery and capture the mood of the scenery.
● Understanding Media Properties: Delve into the properties of different media, from transparent to opaque, rough to smooth. Learn how to leverage these characteristics to create captivating textures, soft, hard edges, and layered compositions.
● Exploratory Exercises: Engage in exercises designed to stimulate your creativity and expand your colour palette. Experiment with colour combinations, layering techniques, and mark-making to infuse your sketches with depth and vibrancy. Embrace the joy of
