About this course:
This lively watercolour workshop will be all about getting the very best from your paints and brushes, lots of ‘light bulb’ moments with the focus on developing and strengthening your very own personal style. Covering a mix of studio and plein air sessions, the subjects covered will be faces, places and florals. Jude will share lots of tips, techniques and secrets along the way in a fun and informative manner.

10.00 – 12.00 Lets get started! The importance of some watercolour basics and colour mixing.
1.00 – 2.00 Lunch at Clos Mirabel
2.00 – 5.00 Techniques for tone, composition, wet-in-wet, dry brush, sketching and preparatory drawings.
6.30 – Aperitifs before 4 course dinner in the Manor House

Wine tasting in local vineyard, explore Pau or beyond

10.00 – 12.00 Depending on the weather, painting in the mountains or florals in the studio.

Friday
8.30– 9.30 Buffet breakfast of local and regional produce
10.00 – 12.00 Visit the markets to sketch and draw.
1.00 – 2.00 Lunch at Clos Mirabel
2.00 – 5.00 Review of your works with time to finish works for exhibition.
