More about our Art Studio

This stencil printing workshop is for anyone interested in making prints on fabric and exploring pattern making by hand. In this workshop Pauline will take you through all the techniques she has developed for stencil printing fabrics and making patterns, but most of all this will be a week of playful discovery, starting with exploring all the different effects that can be created with a brush on fabric and making spontaneous patterns, to making more complex motifs and repeating patterns.

About this course:

In this workshop you will be learning new techniques as well as make beautiful fabrics to be used in your own life or given as gifts. The workshop is very suitable for beginners, but Pauline’s workshops are also often taken by established makers and artists who want to learn these techniques as an addition to their existing practice. In the workshop we will be working from nature inspiration, starting with (simple) sketches, as well as work with abstract motifs, or any theme of your interest. The week has a structured programme, but will allow you to explore specific aspects more in depth and not go into others, if they are less interesting to you and thus adapt the workshop to your own interests and level.

After this week you will be fully equipped to keep on exploring these techniques at home. You need very little space and few supplies to keep on printing. In the course price all materials used are included and you will get a set of brushes to take home with you, as well as several readers in which you can read back everything that was covered in the workshop.
