This workshop brings together two artists in an immersive week of drawing and textile making informed by Angela Maddock’s and Chloe Briggs’ shared philosophy of ‘Looking for Green’. Chloe will lead the drawing and Angela the textile making.
About this course:
Inspired by the gardens and landscape of Clos Mirabel, you will be encouraged to develop your individual style with the support and guidance of two skilled and generous practitioner/tutors. Chloe will share her enthusiasm for drawing and love of colour and Angela will share many techniques, including embroidery stitches, couching, applique and trapunto quilting.
Angela and Chloe began working together during the Covid 19 pandemic, when Chloe joined one of Angela’s on-line repair workshops. Their friendship developed into collaboration ‘Looking for Green’, which brought together drawing and textile making in Paris in 2022. They teach drawing and stitch classes together on-line.
