Artist's Projects
Kate Colin is a Scottish paper artist and designer whose creative practice is based on the folded form. She is interested in how light, colour and geometry interact and explores these themes through a range of work including installations, sculptures and lighting which are created using intricate scoring and folding techniques.
She has worked with brands including Prada and Burberry and exhibited at Fortnum & Mason, Artefact, Decorex and the London Design Fair. She has also held solo shows at the Manchester Craft and Design Centre and The Lighthouse, Scotland’s national Centre for Design and Architecture.
Kate Colin is a QEST scholar, a graduate of the Craft Council’s Hothouse programme and regularly teaches and works with galleries and art schools all over the UK. Her first book ‘Paper Folding: Learn in a Weekend’ will be published by Thames & Hudson in Autumn 2024.
