Artist's Projects
Cecilia Pettersson is a Swedish designer, illustrator and artist whose work is rooted in nature, craftsmanship and storytelling. Based in Gothenburg, Sweden most of her inspiration comes from the Swedish flora and fauna. Working across print, pattern design, illustration and visual identity, Cecilia creates richly detailed work that combines hand drawn expression with contemporary design.
Through drawing, painting and close observation of natural patterns, she transforms organic textures, rhythms and botanical motives into distinctive visual narratives. Her work can be defined as intricate compositions, delicate details and rich textures.
Over the past decade, Cecilia has collaborated with leading Swedish and international brands including IKEA, Anthropologie, Boråstapeter, Bonniers, Lagom Design and Penguin. Alongside her commercial practice, she has delivered public commissions and exhibited her artwork.
As an experienced instructor, she loves sharing her most effective tips for pattern design, as well as her passion for creative experimentation.
