Mills’ work has been included in the Spectrum’s Best of Fantastic Art, and IX Arts of Imaginative Realism. The NY Times described Mills’ watercolours for Tatterhood and the Hobgoblins as “Alluring…to the point of Pre-Raphaelitism” and the Washington Post wrote of her watercolours for The Rag Coat, “exquisite…complex…. and radiant.” Mills has taught illustration in the MFA Illustration Program at the Hartford Art School at the University of Hartford, Connecticut and at the Hollins University in Virginia.
