Artist's Projects
Daisy Aschehoug designs quilts with basic building blocks that create unexpected geometric effects. Most of her work combines curved piecing techniques with a modern traditional design aesthetic, and many of her quilts have won international awards, been published in pattern magazines, and included in book compilations. She held solo exhibitions at the European Patchwork Meeting in France (2021) and the International Quilt Festival in Luxembourg (2024). In 2020, Daisy published her first book with co – author Heather Black: Quilt Modern Curves and Bold Stripes, andher next book, Quilting with Curves, was published in May of 2023. Daisy moved from the United States to Norway with her family in 2017, and she maintains a quilt studio just south of Oslo on the peninsula of Nesodden.
